On Tuesday, March 10, at 3 p.m., the North Alabama Lions, featuring former Center Hill High School standout Landon Scruggs, were defeated 8-3 by the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in an NCAA Division I baseball contest.
The game, held at Bank Independent Stadium, marked the first meeting between the teams this season.
Scruggs pitched 1.2 innings, conceding one earned run, with three walks and two strikeouts.
The Lions are scheduled to face the Lipscomb Bison at Ken Dugan Field on Friday, March 13, at 3 p.m.
