North Alabama Lions fall 8-5 to Ole Miss with Scruggs on the mound

The North Alabama Lions, featuring former Center Hill High School star Landon Scruggs, were defeated 8-5 by the Ole Miss Rebels in their NCAA Division I baseball matchup at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4.

Swayze Field hosted the contest, marking the teams’ first meeting of the season.

Scruggs pitched one inning, surrendering two earned runs while tallying one walk and one strikeout.

Next up, the Lions are set to play the Southern Miss Golden Eagles at Pete Taylor Park on Friday, March 6, at 6 p.m.
