53 percent of applicants to Rust College were admitted for fall 2018

At Rust College, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Holly Springs enrolled 846 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 8.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

34 percent of undergraduates are residents of Mississippi, and 64 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (94 percent).

The school admitted 53 percent of the 5,558 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 9 percent enrolled.
