JOB POSTING: Animal Care Technician
(Full Time with benefits and retirement)
Position Task:
*Assisting the public with pet adoption and reuniting lost pets with their family's
*Making sure animals are clean and fed
*Helping with daily maintenance of animal shelter
*Providing pets with vaccinations and wellness treatments
*Cleaning and disinfecting cages
*Ability to run, walk, stoop, bend, crawl, crouch, climb, lift over head
*Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
*Ability to work weekends and holidays
*Other duties as assigned
Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Valid driver's license required
-Ability to manage time responsibly
- Ability to work with animals, dangerous or not
-Ability to follow instructions
-Ability to manage currency
-Pleasant communication skills
-Ability to write clear, concise log sheets
-Ability to perform clerical duties and record keeping
-Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the elements
-Animals Services training a plus
Education Level and Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
