**Autism Awareness Month**
DeSoto County Sheriff’s Deputies are able to grow a beard by donating monthly to a “Beard Fund” that is used for different organizations & programs within our community. It’s one way the DCSD gives back.
Thanks to the kindness & generosity of our deputies, we were able to donate to The Arc of Northwest Mississippi, in honor of Autism Awareness Month.
The Arc is an advocacy organization for people of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This weekend during an event at Longview Heights Baptist Church, DCSD Chief Deputy Justin Smith presented a check for $1,500 to The Arc.
We are super proud of our deputies & leaders and how they go above & beyond to support the community & represent the DCSD.
