We've been seeing people make local posts about making your own baby formula due to national wide shortages. We want you to be SAFE and understand this might be risky especially when making it with raw milk. Use extreme caution! We understand you parents and caregivers! The concern is real! PLEASE consult a pediatrician, lactation specialist or registered dietitian for assistance.
Diluting formula is not nutritionally comparable and can leave you with long-term health implications.
Don't hoard formula. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends buying a 10-12 day supply during the shortage. This makes the shortage worse if you hoard the formula and can lead to some families being unable to find formula.
Babies might not be able to tolerate cow's milk, goat's milk or plant based milk. So consult your doctor.
Be careful when accepting formula from others. Check expiration dates and dents or punctures. Don't use if it is expired or damage.
