Today members of Mississippi Task Force 1 are training at Desoto County Emergency Services in Nesbit to refresh their skills involving structural collapse rescues.
Mississippi Task Force 1 is one of three Urban Search and Rescue teams in Mississippi. MS TF-1 is based in DeSoto County with members from across north Mississippi. Today’s training included team members from Southaven, Olive Branch, Horn Lake, Walls, Water Valley, Amory, Corinth, Oxford, Tupelo, and Water Valley.
The Task Force trains throughout the year in preparation for search-and-rescue operations across the state and country.
