Verify Voter Registration Information

Notice to Registered Voters

If you are registered to vote in DeSoto County, please verify your voter registration through the Voter Registration Inquiry.

Reasons to update voter registration are:

  1. If you have moved within the county
  2. If you have changed your name
  3. If you have a change of physical address or mailing address
If you have moved out of the county please send notification to the Circuit Clerk's Office. Voter registration applications (PDF) can be downloaded. These can be mailed to:

The Next Election will be a General Election held on November 8, 2022.

In-Person Absentee: You can vote absentee in-person at the DeSoto County Circuit Clerk’s office. The address is: 2535 Highway 51 S, 2nd Floor, Hernando, MS 38632.

In-Person Absentee Voting begins on September 26, 2022 and goes through November 5, 2022. During that time period you can vote at the Circuit Clerk's office weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. You can also vote Absentee in-person on Saturday October 29, 2022 from 8am-Noon and Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 8am-Noon. The last day to vote absentee, in-person, is November 5, 2022. 

Absentee by Mail: You can also vote absentee by mail, if you are over 65 or physically disabled. Call the DeSoto County Circuit Clerk’s office for information on voting absentee by mail at 662-469-8350. Ballots must be postmarked on or before November 8, 2022 and must be received by November 15, 2022.

The Voter Registration Deadline is October 10, 2022. The deadline to receive registration forms by mail, is October 11, 2022. New applicants who applied in person at the Clerk's office by October 10th, or mailed registration applications, postmarked no later than October 11th, are eligible to vote in the November 8, 2022 General Election.

Election: The General Election will be for the US House of Representatives, Judges and Desoto County School Board Districts 1 & 2. The City of Hernando will also have a Special Election Referendum on the General Election ballot. Only residents of the City of Hernando will be eligible to vote for that referendum.
