DeSoto County Government - Desoto County is Looking for a Qualified Candidate to Be Our Next Desktop Administrator

Desoto County is looking for a qualified candidate to be our next Desktop Administrator. This role includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

*Knowledge of automated systems/software utilized in area of assignment, including Trackit for work orders and AS400 for general ledger and receiving

*Proficiency in standard office software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Acrobat

*Knowledge of current web development including Civic Plus and Websmart

*Knowledge of tools and test equipment used in the installation, maintenance and repair of information systems

*Knowledge of basic principles of technical network administration

*Ability to troubleshoot a variety of routine and assignment specific desktop and network hardware and software issues and respond appropriately to customer service requests

*Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and process work to ensure that deadlines are met

*Ability to adapt quickly to changes in policies, procedures, assignments and work locations

*Excellent problem solving skills

*Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

*Ability to communicate technical information to a wide variety of users, sometimes in a classroom environment
