JOB TITLE: Field Engineer
DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC WORKS
PAY RATE: 65,000.00
REPORTS TO: PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
SUMMARY:
Ensure all new subdivision infrastructure, roads, and city utilities are constructed properly.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Sewer and water main inspection and GPS located.
Review construction plans for developments.
Basic inspections of subdivisions.
Check grade on subdivision lots to ensure they drain to the street.
Inspect off site water drainage plan for lots and developments.
Storm drain inlet and piping inspections.
Inspect sewer taps, water taps, and water meter locations.
Inspect roads construction in all phases of construction.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Work is primarily in an outside environment exposed to all types of weather; hot, cold, dry, wet, etc.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NONE
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two year certification (civil tech degree) or 10 years water/sewer construction instillation experience.
REGULAR ATTENDANCE IS AN ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THIS JOB
