Quitman County had unemployment rate of 15% in 2021

Quitman County recorded an unemployment rate of 15% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 368 people out of the 6,327 living in Quitman County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Quitman County has decreased compared to the 15.7% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Quitman County was greater than the statewide unemployment rate of 6.8%.

Everyone who had a job at the time belonged to the civilian labor force.
