Tunica County Sheriff’s Office arrests suspect in Dundee trail ride shooting

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office announced on April 13 that an arrest has been made in connection with the shooting that took place at a trail ride event in Dundee, Mississippi on March 28. Malik Javonta Vardaman, age 27, of Robinsonville was taken into custody by deputies on April 11.

The case concerns a shooting incident at Dubbs Road during an event hosted by Muddy River Delta Farm. According to the press release, arrest warrants for Vardaman were issued by a Circuit Court Judge on April 6 for charges including aggravated assault and unlawful discharge of a firearm.

The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers. The office stated that tips leading to an arrest may be eligible for up to $1,000.
