Birthdays at the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office are being recognized in a new way this year. In 2026, the department has started monthly gatherings to celebrate employees’ birthdays.

Each month, staff come together to mark the occasion with cake and fellowship. The initiative is described as a way to recognize both individual milestones and collective contributions within the organization.

“It’s a small gesture, but it carries a big meaning, because everyone deserves their flowers while they’re here to receive them. Everyone deserves to be celebrated, appreciated, and reminded that their presence makes a difference, especially in the daily operations at TCSO,” according to the statement from the Tunica County Sheriff’s Office.

The office emphasizes that birthdays are more than just dates; they serve as reminders of life experiences and achievements. “Each birthday represents stories lived, challenges overcome, and memories still waiting to be made.”

In January and February 2026, all honorees with birthdays during those months were recognized by colleagues. “Here’s to another year of life, laughter, and growing together. Happy Birthday to all our monthly honorees in January and February: we celebrate you today and always.”
